Engineering at Make the Dot
As the Product Engineer, you will become a foundational pillar to all of Make the Dots technology and play a critical role in shaping the future of the company. You will work hand-in-hand with Make the Dots founders and will be fully empowered to design and build core components of Make the Dots software product, from conception to deployment. You will also play a critical role in building a world-class engineering team over the months and years ahead.
What You’ll Work On
Fashion design is deeply creative yet highly technical. Our users span from junior designers to creative directors and fashion design students. Building tools that meet their diverse needs is both challenging and rewarding.
- Implement and maintain features across the full stack: frontend, backend and infra
- Own systems end-to-end: architecture, implementation, deployment, and iteration
- Collaborate closely with ML, design, and product teams to translate capabilities into intuitive, mind-blowing user experiences
- Optimize application performance and ensure cross-browser compatibility
- Improving and iterating on the current tech stack to deploy suitable solutions. Tech stack - React, Prisma Graphql, NodeJS APIs, Chrome extension, PostgreSQL.
- Drive the full development lifecycle, from technical planning to production launch and post-release improvements for a production-ready Canvas
- Contribute to shaping our technical direction, eng culture, and product strategy
What We’re Looking For
- 6+ years of proven experience as a full-stack engineer, must have experience working with canvas technologies (can be either HTML5 Canvas or WebGL experience)
- Great product taste for modern B2B software
- Strong experience with frontend technologies React, Typescript
- Experience with Python
- Experience with end-to-end software development, data structures & algorithms
- Experience working with Canvas technologies
- You are an entrepreneurial self-starter, comfortable diving into technical problems where you may have limited prior knowledge.
- You enjoy a fast pace of development, iteration & testing and are always looking to learn.
